How to forward calls on Xfinity Voice (Home Phone) to your AI receptionist

Keep your Xfinity Voice (Home Phone) number. Your phone rings first — RingReady answers only the calls you miss. Set it up in a few minutes from your Xfinity Voice (Home Phone) settings.

Xfinity Voice (Home Phone) setup

After you sign up you get your own RingReady number; your dashboard shows these same steps with it filled in, as tap-to-dial buttons.

1

Open Your Xfinity Voice Settings

Sign in at xfinity.com with your Primary or Manager Xfinity ID, or open the Xfinity app

Go to the Settings (gear) icon, then Settings, then Call Forwarding. Comcast manages Xfinity Voice forwarding from the web portal rather than from the handset, so this is the path that gives you every option.
2

Forward Only the Calls You Miss

Use Call Forwarding No Answer and Call Forwarding Busy

Point both at your RingReady receptionist number. Your home phone keeps ringing as normal, and only the calls you don't pick up (or that arrive while you're already on a call) roll over to your receptionist. Advanced Call Forwarding also lets you set how many rings to wait first.
3

Or Forward Everything From the Handset

Dial *72 then your RingReady number to forward all calls; *73 turns it back off

This is the quick option if you'd rather your receptionist answer every call. Lift the handset, wait for the dial tone, dial *72 followed by the 10-digit number, and wait for the confirmation tone. Note that *72 forwards everything — your home phone won't ring at all.
4

Check Voicemail Doesn't Answer First

Xfinity voicemail can pick up before the forward completes

If your receptionist never gets the call, raise the ring count in Advanced Call Forwarding or turn Xfinity voicemail off in your Voice settings so the call has time to roll over.
