How to forward calls on Consumer Cellular to your AI receptionist

Keep your Consumer Cellular number. Your phone rings first — RingReady answers only the calls you miss. Set it up in a few minutes from your Consumer Cellular settings.

Consumer Cellular setup

After you sign up you get your own RingReady number; your dashboard shows these same steps with it filled in, as tap-to-dial buttons.

1

Open your phone's call settings

On Android, open the Phone app, tap the three-dot menu, then Settings.

Look for 'Calls', 'Supplementary services' or 'More settings', then 'Call forwarding'. Wording varies by phone.
2

Turn on 'Forward when busy'

Enter your RingReady number and turn it on.

Use the 10-digit number, no spaces.
3

Turn on 'Forward when unanswered'

Enter your RingReady number and turn it on.

This sends calls you miss to RingReady.
4

Turn on 'Forward when unreachable'

Enter your RingReady number and turn it on.

This covers times when your phone is off or has no signal.
5

Leave 'Always forward' off

Only turn it on if you want every call to go to RingReady.

On iPhone, Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding only offers 'forward all'. For missed calls only, call Consumer Cellular at (888) 345-5510.
6

Test it

Call your mobile from another phone and let it ring.

The call should reach your RingReady receptionist.
