How to forward calls on Google Fi to your AI receptionist

Keep your Google Fi number. Your phone rings first — RingReady answers only the calls you miss. Set it up in a few minutes from your Google Fi settings.

Google Fi setup

After you sign up you get your own RingReady number; your dashboard shows these same steps with it filled in, as tap-to-dial buttons.

1

Turn On "Answer carrier 'press 1' screens" in RingReady

RingReady dashboard → your receptionist's setup → next to "Always ask callers for their number"

Google Fi confirms forwarded calls with a short "press 1 to accept" prompt before connecting the caller. With this setting on, your receptionist answers it automatically — without it, forwarded calls end up in your Fi voicemail.
2

Set Up Call Forwarding in Google Fi

Google Fi app or fi.google.com → Phone settings → Call forwarding

Add your RingReady receptionist number as the forwarding destination. If Fi asks to verify the number, the verification text appears on your RingReady dashboard's call history.
3

Call Flow

Google Fi → AI Receptionist (RingReady auto-accepts Fi's screening prompt)

When a forwarded call arrives, your receptionist confirms the forward automatically and answers — the caller never hits your Fi voicemail.
