How to forward calls on Verizon Fios Digital Voice to your AI receptionist

Keep your Verizon Fios Digital Voice number. Your phone rings first — RingReady answers only the calls you miss. Set it up in a few minutes from your Verizon Fios Digital Voice settings.

Verizon Fios Digital Voice setup

After you sign up you get your own RingReady number; your dashboard shows these same steps with it filled in, as tap-to-dial buttons.

Landline setup: Lift the handset, wait for the dial tone, then dial each code from your Fios phone. These codes won't work from a cell phone.
1

Call Verizon first

Fios Digital Voice has no self-serve 'forward when busy' or 'forward when not answered' setting.

Call Verizon at 1-800-837-4966 and ask whether busy and no-answer forwarding can be added to your line, pointing to your RingReady number.
2

Or use Locate Me in My Verizon

Sign in at verizon.com/myverizon, choose Manage your phone, then Call Features, then Locate Me, then Activate.

Add your RingReady number and pick how many rings to wait. Before relying on it, place a test call and check that your home phone rings first and RingReady answers only when you don't pick up.
3

Test it

From another phone, call your Fios number and let it ring. RingReady should answer.

4

Or forward every call with a dial code

From your Verizon Fios Digital Voice phone, dial *72 followed by your RingReady number.

Your receptionist then answers all your calls, not just the missed ones. Dial *73 to turn it off.
