How to forward calls on CallRail to your AI receptionist

Keep your CallRail number. Your phone rings first — RingReady answers only the calls you miss. Set it up in a few minutes from your CallRail settings.

CallRail setup

After you sign up you get your own RingReady number; your dashboard shows these same steps with it filled in, as tap-to-dial buttons.

1

Open your call flows

Sign in to CallRail

Select the Settings icon on the left navigation bar, choose your company, then select Workflow at the top of the page. Create a new call flow or edit the one on your tracking number.
2

Ring your business phone first

Add a Dial step to your own phone

Select Dial, enter your business phone number, and pick about 20 seconds in the ring duration drop-down.
3

Forward unanswered calls to your receptionist

Add a second Dial step below it

Select Dial again below the first step and enter your full RingReady receptionist number. Leave the 'prevent voicemails and automated systems' box UNCHECKED on this step. Select Save, then assign the call flow to your tracking number.
4

Test it

Call your business number from another phone and let it ring

Use a phone that isn't in the call flow. Don't answer. After about 20 seconds, your RingReady receptionist should pick up.
