Keep your GoHighLevel / LeadConnector number. Your phone rings first — RingReady answers only the calls you miss. Set it up in a few minutes from your GoHighLevel / LeadConnector settings.
After you sign up you get your own RingReady number; your dashboard shows these same steps with it filled in, as tap-to-dial buttons.
In your sub-account: Settings, then Phone System, then Phone Numbers
Click the three dots beside the number you want your receptionist to answer, then choose Edit Configuration.Open the Call Forwarding tab and choose External Phone Number
Enter your RingReady receptionist number as the destination and save. GoHighLevel numbers are software numbers, so there are no carrier codes to dial — everything is set here.Check that GoHighLevel's own Voice AI, IVR or workflow isn't set to answer the number
GoHighLevel answers with its own Voice AI or IVR before it ever forwards, so if one is enabled on this number your receptionist will never receive the call. A team member phone assigned to the number also outranks the forwarding destination — leave it empty if you want your receptionist to answer everything.Make sure Show Dialed Number is unchecked in that same configuration screen
With it checked, every forwarded call arrives showing your own GoHighLevel number instead of the caller's, so your receptionist can't capture a usable callback number. If you need to leave it checked, turn on "Always ask callers for their number" in your RingReady receptionist setup instead.Call your GoHighLevel number from your cell phone
Your receptionist should answer. If it rings out or a different greeting plays, something in step 3 is still answering ahead of the forward.Your AI receptionist answers the calls you can't — set up in about 3 minutes.
