How to forward calls on Google Voice to your AI receptionist

Keep your Google Voice number. Your phone rings first — RingReady answers only the calls you miss. Set it up in a few minutes from your Google Voice settings.

Google Voice setup

After you sign up you get your own RingReady number; your dashboard shows these same steps with it filled in, as tap-to-dial buttons.

1

Turn On "Answer carrier 'press 1' screens" in RingReady

RingReady dashboard → your receptionist's setup → next to "Always ask callers for their number"

Google confirms forwarded calls with a short "press 1 to accept" prompt before connecting the caller. With this setting on, your receptionist answers it automatically — without it, forwarded calls end up in your Google voicemail.
2

Add Your RingReady Number in Google Voice

Open Google Voice app/website → Settings → Calls → Call Forwarding

Add your RingReady receptionist number as a forwarding destination.
3

Enter the Verification Code

Google texts a code to your RingReady number — it appears on your RingReady dashboard

Check your RingReady dashboard's call history: the verification text shows up there within seconds. Enter the code in Google Voice to confirm the forwarding number.
4

Call Flow

Google Voice → AI Receptionist (RingReady auto-accepts Google's screening prompt)

When someone calls your Google Voice number and you don't pick up, Google forwards the call. Your receptionist confirms the forward automatically and answers — the caller never hits voicemail.
